As we begin 2012, I thought I would give you some information about the author of “From the Throne”. Bettie Jo Hardy, is the 82 year old wife of a deceased cousin of mine who lives in her home in Jackson, AL. She is a former journalist and columnist who holds awards from the Alabama Press Association and the Alabama Women’s Press Association. She has authored two books—“His Children’s Children” and “God Loves His Seniors”. She has led a number of women’s Bible studies, spoken to many groups and taught numerous Sunday School classes. She has two lovely daughters and many grandchildren and great grandchildren! The Lord continues to use her in His service despite lingering illnesses related to extreme allergies. She is a blessing to know and may she continue to listen to the Lord and share His words with us! Anne

Child, men are constantly attempting to achieve various goals in life. Athletes spend much of their lives training and straining to reach their goals on fields of competition. The Apostle Paul wrote about athletes who vie for laurels on earth.

My children often think of Me as a God who may do this or that, a God who attempts to accomplish feats for them. They do err, however. I am JEHOVAH, Lord God Almighty. I do not attempt anything; I accomplish. My missions are always accomplished. I never fail. Selah.
