Today I feel led to do something a little different—I just want to “talk” to you about God’s awesome love for you and me. That’s what Christmas is all about…the love that sent God’s perfect, precious Son into this world to suffer for our sins. God didn’t just love us, He “so” loved us (John 3: 16).
In Paul E. Billheimer’s book, Destined for the Throne, he wrote a segment entitled “Romance at the Heart of the Universe.” In it he reminds us that we are set apart for becoming His bride. There will be a “marriage of the Lamb” followed by a “marriage supper of the Lamb” (Revelation 19: 7-9). What a future we have! You and I are currently engaged to Christ!!!
Billheimer writes, “The human race was created in the image and likeness of God for one purpose: to provide an eternal companion for the Son.” This leaves me speechless except for “Wow”.
Sing the Christmas songs with great love and joy not only for the gift of the baby Jesus but for the King of Heaven who is awaiting your arrival at the Throne of Heaven and who loves you so much that He wants to be with you for all of eternity!
All of these From The Throne messages for December will be God’s special words about how much He loves us. Please ponder them in your heart.
