God’s Calendar

Last week we looked at Jesus as the Light that dispelled darkness and that God is eternal without beginning and end. I believe that God would have us to take a closer look at the silent years between the Old and New Testament in order to understand God’s calendar versus man’s calendar. Walter Scott in 1808 made a statement that adequately describes what has happened over the years to bring us to where we are now. “Such a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive.” We must trace the origin of deception back to the source—it was Satan, the “father of lies” who told the first lie to Eve in the Garden of Eden. (Genesis 3:1) Lying is Satan’s primary weapon against God’s truth and his lies tend to perpetuate themselves. In Revelation 12: 9 we learn that Satan deceived the whole world.

We might ask “What does this have to do with Christmas?” We will see that it has everything to do with Christmas and God’s calendar. Let us go back to the 400 silent years between the Old and New Testament for the answer. In 1948 two important things happened in relation to God’s Chosen People—the Jews: (1) Israel was recognized as a State (2) the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered revealing the true Biblical Calendar. During the 400 years between the Testaments, Judaism developed into three sects—the Pharisees, the Sadducees and the Essenes. The Pharisees were legalist, protecting the Old Testament Law, and developed Oral Law or tradition that replaced the Law itself. The Sadducees were the liberal sect that introduced new forms of Jewish worship and did not believe in the supernatural or resurrection. We know from Mt. 3: 7 that John the Baptist labeled them a “generation of vipers” and Jesus in Mt. 12: 34 condemned them as being evil and as a “generation of vipers.” The third sect were the Essenes whose focus was upon holiness standards in living and recognized that God has a plan and He is in control. This group separated themselves to the Qumran Community in a wilderness location. They were very much focused on God’s Word and prophecy. It is believed that John the Baptist was an Essene as his appearance and preaching style resembled what we know of the Essenes. Their primary objective was to prepare themselves for the Messiah.

From the Dead Sea Scrolls, we learn that God Himself appointed the solar calendar as Genesis 1: 14 teaches. The Essenes preserved the original solar calendar that God gave Adam consisting of 52 weeks, with seven days for each week which was a 364-day calendar. The Pharisees used a corrupt, pagan, lunar calendar that is followed to this day and requires a large number of human decisions. It was a calendar where witnesses would come to the rabbis to declare that they saw the new moon and the rabbis would then officially declare the beginning of a new month. This may or may not have been correct! In other words, if you’re using the wrong calendar, you can’t synchronize your time with God’s time! We have then God’s calendar of Light and Satan’s calendar of darkness! The Essenes accurately knew the time of Jesus’ appearing and His crucifixion according to God’s calendar. This is the reason that John the Baptist went forth to announce His coming!

As we recall the first prophecy in the Bible in Genesis 3: 15, it is all about the battle between the seed of Satan and the seed of the woman (Christ). If Satan could not prevent the birth of the Savior then he would confuse and frustrate the birth date! Do you want to know who was really born on December 25th? It was the man/god named “Thammuz” in the Bible in Ezekiel Chapter 8 who was the son of the Queen of Heaven! (Jeremiah 44: 15-19) This is another example of how Satan has plotted to deceive the truth about the real birthday of Christ our Savior. According to a growing body of evidence September 11 is the real date Jesus was born, in the year 3 BC. The birth date is based on computerized recreation of clues provided in the Book of Revelation Chapter 12: 1-5. For a period of a few hours on September 11, 3 BC Virgo (or virgin) could be seen near Leo, representing “the lion of Judah,” with the sun clothing the woman and 12 visible stars surrounding Virgo’s head. The key to the very day of Jesus’ birth is the words “and the moon under her feet.” In the year 3 BC these two factors came to precise agreement for less than two hours as observed from Palestine, on September 11th. The precise arrangement began about 6: 15 p.m. and lasted until 7: 45 p.m. This is the only day on God’s calendar that this could have taken place!

Now do you understand why the date 9-11 in history is so important on God’s calendar and why Satan wanted to connect it to tragedy and destruction instead? Satan performed a great bait and switch upon humanity in order to confuse and frustrate God’s calendar. In 1967 the FCC and AT&T established a universal emergency number standard for the nation. On February 16, 1968 Alabama Senator Rankin File made the first 911 call in the US to Haleyville, AL. History confirms that the date of 9-11 worldwide under the direction of the god of this world is connected with evil, war and destruction. Satan struck at the core of this nation on 9-11 to bring death and devastation against God’s nation called to be a beacon to the nations of His Gospel of truth. Satan does not change his strategies against the Most High God and Jesus Christ our Lord as we read in Daniel 7: 25 concerning the Antichrist, Satan’s blasphemous leader: “And he shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High; and he shall think to change the times and the law; and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and half a time.” He knows that his days are numbered and that his fate will be eternal torment in the lake of fire! (Rev. 20: 10)

I have faith that God is revealing the tangled web of deception but what a terrible price we have paid as a nation and as the Bride of Christ as we have been victims of the great Deceiver! At this season on man’s calendar, let us remember Christ who fulfilled the words of Isaiah 61: 1 as He declared in Luke 4: 18 “The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, he hath sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.” May we declare His victory and truth over Satan’s long warfare against the work of God on behalf of humanity, which still continues. Let’s begin to connect 9-11 with Jesus who has destroyed the work of the devil and won the victory for all who belong to Him and cry out to Him as our Healer and Deliverer. “Alleluia, Salvation, and glory, and honor, and power, unto the LORD our God omnipotent who reigns!” (Rev. 19: 1, 6) Like the Essenes, may we as the Bride of Christ make ourself ready for the coming of the Lord! (Rev. 19: 7)
